Blog Hop with Papertrey Ink

Today's challenge is so hard for me, b/c we all now that I HATE scallops! HA! HA! I Love scallops! The challenge is to make a project with scallops. The hardest part for me was to pick which scallop stamp or accessory to use.................So daunting (sigh!)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE anything scallop. Scallop dies, scallop paper, scallop stamps, on and on I could go. But besides PTI challenge, I also wanted to try these using my dies to make a frame. Love that look! I used Hawaiian Shores and Raspberry Fizz CS, the die is from nestibilies, and the set is Friends 'Till the End all from PTI. Have a fabulous weekend!

Make it Monday Challenge #3: Glitter Strips with Scor Tape

Papertrey Ink's Challenge for Make it Monday is to make a card with glitter strips with scor tape. I picked my favorite (I know you can't tell) set- Make a Wish. I used the scor tape with glitter to make decoration on the cake and on the bottom edge of the cake. I haven't used my banner dies yet so I pulled them out to make a whimsical greeting on the card.

Springtime Vintage

Okay, so I haven't been as productive as I should have been today. The girls are at grandma's house and I should be painting doors or organizing toys but instead, I accomplished these two cards ;-) My hubby will be so happy!
This is the new Springtime Vintage pp from SU. I love it, it reminds me of October Afternoon's paper- which I am a huge fan of. I just wanted want to play! I used Not Quite Navy, Baha Breeze, Ivory, and Crumb Cake all from SU. Hope you like it!
Note to hubby: I did get all the bedding washed ;-)

Challenge and Thank you cards!

These are the cards my girls made for their Bday/Christmas thank yous. My girls cut the white CS with Nesties and I stamped the images and they colored them in. I then attached them to the card. I thought it was a nice way to add a little more love to their thank you cards.

I also put their initials in the bottom right hand corner, to 'autograph' their artwork.
A CHALLENGE FOR YOU!! Last year I vowed to check over ever receipt. I don't know about you but as I am checking out I am usually busy with coupons, unloading, or kids. I don't normally stand and watch as everything is being rung up. So, I started looking over ever single receipt before I leave the store or as soon as I get home. And I have to tell you it is amazing how many times I find an error, and 95% of the time it is not in my favor. And just in the last 2 months- January I was at Target and was charged twice for a pair of shoes, and just today I was charged twice for apples at Walmart. I has a cashier in college at KMart and Sam's club so I totally understand that mistakes are made, we are all human. I have to say that in all the errors I caught last year only one time was it in my favor but on the same receipt I was over charged for something else so it ended up being a wash. I am totally not saying the stores are out to get me, but I am just challenging you to start looking. Think of it as a way to save money ;-)

Papertrey Ink- Make it Monday Challenge

I thought I would have to skip out on Papertrey Ink's Challenge today because one of my girls was home sick today and I just could not get away to make a card. But, tonight my sweet hubby took care of putting the girls to bed. So I ran up to my stamp room to make a 'Go-To Sentiment Card.' Check out the video on Papertrey Ink's website, it is awesome and I love the idea. I hope you had a wonderful day and enjoy my card.

Supplies: PTI sets- Big & Bold Wishes, Make a Wish, & Birthday Bash Sentiments, Polka Dot Basics II Impressions Plate also PTI.

Papertrey Anniversary Contest Part 2

Today I have a second post, I know amazing right! Well I wanted to enter another one of Papertrey Ink's contest. And this contest has an absolutely priceless prize and if I won, it would make my decade. I love this little image from PTI's downloads. How many times do you need a card with no real saying, isn't this perfect. I love this one! I will have to make more of these cards......after the Superbowl that is ;-)

Supplies: PTI down loadable image, Distressed Dots PP, Melon Berry CS, Assorted Copics (all PTI).

Finally finished!

This is what I have been working on for the last week. I saw this idea on http://www.ourbestbites.com/ on Jan. 22, 2011. I loved it so I had to try it out. I used the sizzix 3D flower die to cut my flowers so that mine have more of a scalloped edge. And I was excited to find that I could cut 3 layers of felt with my Bigz Sizzix die. YA! That saved me a lot of time. I rolled and used over 170 flowers. WOW! (I bought my felt at Michael's). Then I started gluing them with my hot glue gun.
The wreath I used was a 14 inch green wreath from Michael's that I painted white (just in case any spaces showed though). I also glued and knotted my ribbon before I started so the ribbon didn't have to be on the outside of my wreath. And finally the finished wreath!

I hope you like it. I love h0w it turned out. I should have used all pink and red so that it showed up better on my white door but I am so not starting over. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the game. (GO PACK GO!)
