Ribbon Mess and Thoughts on Spending

I have been trying so hard to get organized. I really think getting organized is a great way to also save money. Why? It takes so much time first of all. But, it makes me realize how much I have and then I stop and think of how much I spent to get it. And then that makes me think about all the time it took me to buy it and who doesn't want more time...... And then I think- now I am spending time organizing it. And last, I wonder do I need more storage boxes to store this stuff? So, I am back to spending more money and wasting more time. It is a crazy cycle. Think about it. I admit, I am the worst and a bit of a craft hoarder.

So, just thoughts as I organize all this ribbon from this to this.....
I love football so I started this project last weekend during the two play off games. (Go Packers!) I am now done and I love it. I made it my goal to organize something everyday during the week. I have tackled my girls dresser, several cabinets in my kitchen, this ribbon project, and currently I am working on my stamp area. Wish me luck! Have a fabulous day.

Papertrey January Blog Hop Challenge

First off, for those of you that follow my blog. I apologize again for being absent for so long. I have a few posts lined up so I hope you will not have to wait so long to hear from me again.

So, on to what inspired me to post and actually stamp today. I love the PTI challenge- use a stamp set that hasn't yet seen ink. I purchased "Framed" quite a while ago and had to put it together today to use it. I was inspired by a card that I saw as I was blog hopping last week, and I have tried to find it back but I can't (thank you if it was your card).

I used Friends 'till the end, Framed, & Signature Greetings from PTI, and Fresh Snow, Dark Chocolate Ink also from PTI. I hope you like it!

Quick idea for you!

Okay I know a very simple card but I wanted to remind you or tell you that you can color those new rhinestones that Stampin' Up! (finally) carries with a Sharpie. No longer to worry about not having the right color. Love it! I used a blue Sharpie for these rhinestones on this card. I just did a quick card to show you how fun it is.
Oh, and I tried black and mine just came out an odd purple color. Have fun finding different Sharpie colors.......

Wedding Day!

Our neighbors daughter Katelyn was married yesterday and beings we were all dressed up, I thought it was the perfect time for a family photo. Love it! The wedding was beautiful and her colors were black and red so this is the card I made for the happy couple.

This card is CASE'd from 'cmb268' on Splitcoast. I changed the supplies a little and I love how it turned out. The saying is from an old Stampin Up set called Ever After.
I got a little slack at the SU regional this weekend about updating my blog. Sorry it took me so long ladies (sometimes I feel like I am talking to myself on here).......
Supplies: All SU unless otherwise noted- stamps Elements of Style & Ever After, Ink-my new fav Cherry Cobbler, stazon black, Martha Stewart border punch, White Satin ribbon, pearls, Groom DSP-retired.

Invitations and Cheer Clinic

These are CASED from Nichole Heady's card that she made last month for the Papertrey release. I wanted to make my mom some birthday party invitations so when I saw Nichole's card I knew it would be perfect. I made a few minor changes like sponging the edges and I needed to use a larger label so my sentiment would fit and ribbon instead of twine.
These are my girls at the football game. They did a couple cheers and a dance before the varsity football game. It was so cute!
Supplies: PTI Leaf Prints, SU pumpkin pie and Cajun craze ink, Ivory and Cajun Craze CS, PTI wood grain impression plate, SU choc chip ribbon, Label ? nestablities.

For the love of Scallops!

When it comes to stamping I have lots of favorite things like polka dot and striped paper, flowers, and scallops! I love scalloped edges! I have way to many scallop border punches, but they are all a little different. I love this large punch from EK success. The paper is from SEI! I love to get SEI paper packs because I know for all the paper inside will work well together. I hope you like my use of scallops!

Supplies: PTI bday inside & out, Pti leaf set, SEI paper, SU ink, ribbon and CS, Marvy scallop punch.

Look what I found at the Iowa State Fair!

Okay, so we went to the Iowa State Fair yesterday and saw the biggest Bull and Boar, some crazy looking chickens, a tiny (full grown) horse, etc. And as I was looking for a non-fountain soda in the "Art" building I checked out a vendor selling stamp supplies and found this beauty from Hero Arts. Love it! My goodness, I can find stamps any where!

Supplies: Hero Arts Daisy, PTI Thanks inside and out, SU craft reinkers, SU blender pen, and Color Box brown ink, Scor Pal, SU Kraft CS.
