Make It Monday #50: Shaker Card

This card is for PTI Make it Monday challenge. Here is the link

Pretty much and 'old school' card as far as the layout goes. I have had these little sprinkles in my stash forever! I think a dear friend (Kriss) gave them to me long ago! And I totally stumbled across the perfect pattern paper (discontinued SU). My 8 year old said, "I LOVE IT! Make me one please!" Hope you like it, too.

Supplies: Garden Variety PTI, SS Butterfly die PTI, PP Discontinued SU, Nesties, SU celery satin ribbon.

PTI January 2012 Blog Hop

So the challenge this month is to revisit a card you made in 2012 that you liked and remake it. I made this card in July 2011 and it is still one of my favorites (of course I used my favorite PTI set ever). I changed it using an idea from Day 11 of the Clean & Simple card class. The card was made by Maile Belles, she made a 1 layer card with a different layout but I loved how she colored the daisies.

I really like this one too. I hope you do too. Hope you have a great night~

Supplies: Friends til the End PTI, copic makers, pop up dots, twine from PTI, rhinestones unknown.

Make It Monday #49: Ghost Masking

What can I say, another technique I have never tried. :-) Sorry to post yet another flower card and more of the same colors. I have to admit, I am in love with these 3 colors right now from SU- Pacific Point, Calypso Coral, & Lucky Limeade. Hope you like the fun colors, too!

This is PTI Monday challenge called Ghost Masking, click on the link to learn more.

Supplies: SU Ink and matching CS, MFT edge die, Daydreamer PTI stamp set, Label Basic Stamp and Die.

Clean & Simple Day 9

Jennifer McGuire showed a technique on Thursday (Clean & Simple Card Class) that was new to me, so I had to try it. First, take white ink and a fine line stamp on dark CS, let it dry, and then color over the lines with Prisma colored pencils. I know my layout is nothing new but still, I loved the new technique.

Supplies; MFT edge die, Lilly of the Valley stamp PTI, Prisma colored pencils. CS and Ink SU, SU in color 6*6 PP, Ribbon is unknown something I rec'd free from an order.

Day 10 card set

I decided to take one of my past cards and make a card set out of it for Day 10 of the Clean & Simple card class. I always worry about ribbons and embellishments when I am giving a set to someone because I don't want them to have issues with mailing or getting the cards in the envelopes. So, I am happy with how these turned out, even with out ribbon and rhinestones. I really like this card set and I can't wait for my PTI order because I ordered more of the Think Big sets.

A closer look......

Side note: I know I use the Beautiful Blooms II stamps set too much and one might think I don't have many PTI sets to pick from but if you have looked at my blog and my new stamp room you know better. ;-) I really love this set and it's versatility. You gotta have it, if you don't already!

Supplies: Beautiful Blooms II (my go to set), Turning a New Leaf, Think Big all from PTI, Ink from SU-Lucky Limeaid, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Indigo Island, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip and PTI-Hawaiian Shore. Corner Chomper

Clean and Simple Card Class

I have loved the information in this online class. I consider my style to be simple so this class is a perfect fit for me. This card is my take on the perfectly flat card class (day2). I am a little behind but I hope to get a lot of cards done over the next two days.

Supplies- Marigolds from A Muse, Think Big Favorites #1 PTI, gems Hero Arts, WRMK corner chomper.

Supplies- Turning a new Leaf PTI, Beautiful Blooms II, Think Big Favorites #1 PTI, WRMK Corner Chomper, Ink SU.

This last card is just my favorite technique for a simple elegant card, I love to use versa mark and clear embossing powder. A stunning look every time for not a lot of work.

Missing!

WOW! I am back! I am so sorry for being gone so long and I hope you haven't left me. I mentioned that we put in new carpet in my home this fall and this December we attacked our office (I share the other half with my hubby).

These are the before shots of my stamp room. I was in the middle of packing everything up when I took these, so it looks even messier than usual.

And these are the after photos. The main changes- new desk, new bamboo floor, new CD/DVD shelf, paint and other little things. I did keep a lot of what I had but I got rid of so much as far as storage goes. So, I am having a TERRIBLE time getting everything back in place. I am a long way from being done.

I still need to spray paint the rack for my wheels and ink pads white. And I have several boxes that I haven't unpacked. I feel like I have been at this forever but with the holidays in there and the kids off school I really haven't had a lot of time to tackle it. I just had to take a break to stamp and up date all of you ;-)
