I am totally in love with this Anniversary set! Thank you Papertrey! I just had to use it a second post in a row. I love the simple challenge this week. I did use last weeks challenge when I embossed the center strip of Kraft. I just love the crisp image I get when the CS is a little damp.
My hubby is outside starting a camp fire so I gotta run. Hope you like it!
Supplies all PTI unless noted. Botanical Silhouettes, 2009 Bitty Dots Basic PP, Enchanted Evening & Kraft CS, Snow White Ink, Blossom & Circle Nesties, Picnic Plaid IP, Butterfly sizzlit from Stampin Up.

May Papertrey Blog Hop
I just couldn't resist! I have been dieing to play with my new PTI anniversary set - Botanical Silhouettes. I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! Thank you Papertrey! And back to the blog hop challenge- make a card with something floral. I saw this layout a while back and jotted it down so I apologize I don't remember where my inspiration came from. I did stamp a background using Retro (PTI) in pure poppy on the same CS (click on the photo for more detail). One quick question for you, are the rhinestones on the flowers too much? I just wasn't sure. I hope you like it and I enjoyed getting the chance to use some of my new stuff.
Supplies all PTI unless noted: Retro, Botanical Silhouettes, Inside & Out Thank You stamp sets, Pure Poppy (Ink & CS), Dark chocolate, Kraft Inks. Nesties Blossom & Lrg Circle die,

Make It Monday #15: Make Your Own Spray Mists
Addition to my post- I had to make a 16th Birthday card so I used the challenge this week for her card. I made my spray mist with Raspberry Fizz & a pearl powder and then sprayed it on a light pink CS and embossed it with PTI Polka Dot Basics II Impression Plate. I just received my By The Numbers PP so I had to throw that in too. If you click on the photo and enlarge it you can see that I embossed the car with some glittery embossing powder to go with my spray Mist.
Oh My! What a beautiful day in Iowa! It was an absolutely PERFECT day! So, I have to admit I made a couple of simple cards so I could get back outside and plant some more flowers.
I love that this Make it Monday taught me something new that I will use over and over again. YA! This is what I learned- slightly wet cardstock=deeper impression when using my impression plates. So excited!
Supplies all PTI unless noted: Stamps- Garden of Life and Tea for Two (stamp set and die), PP- Everyday blessings, Scallop & circle die - nestie, Doily Details Collection, Impression Plates - Moroccan Motifs & Diamonds.

Make It Monday #14: Selective Inking
I needed to make up a birthday gift for my friend Kriss (I asked her not to look at my blog this week ;-). So, I used the challenge on the tag.
But, I changed it up a little and put Papertrey Stamp sets and a die in them. I am in love with these little set and I know my friend will too. (The die I just adhered to cardstock and slid it in.)
I used the selective inking technique on the sayings. The "Celebrate Big " is from Birthday Bash and Mega Mixed Messages. The "Fabulous Friend" is from two different sayings in Mega Mixed Messages. And finally, the "Eat Cake" from the PTI cupcake set, I just put the words on top of each other.
And this is my go to tool right now. I love that I can used that sticky side of the Quick Stik to my die cuts out of my dies. Love it! And the other pointy end I use to place my rhinestone in just the right spot. I use this tool all the time and it is always out on my desk. Gotta get one if you don't have one.

Mother's Day Card
(Please click on the photo, the detail is so much better!)
I made this card a while back for a Papertrey challenge and loved it so much I wanted to change it up a little for Mother's Day cards. I just added ribbon and changed the sentiment. Being a mother is a very special thing and I saw a quote the other day that I loved and also made me pause- Every day we make a new deposit in the memory bank of our children. (Please forgive me, I don't remember where I saw it.) To any Mother visiting my blog - A very blessed and happy Mother's Day to you!
Supplies - All PTI unless noted Lilly of the Valley, Mother stamp sets, Versa mark and clear EP powder, Double Banner die and Moroccan Motifs IP, White ink, Ribbon & blender pen from Stampin Up.

Papertrey - Make It Monday #13: Impression Plate Tricks #2
First off, thank you so much to everyone that commented on my trio of cards from last Monday's challenge. It made my week! I look at so many talented people's blogs and I wonder every time I post a card if it is good or not. I was so flattered! It really did make my heart soar! I know that sound extreme but I love to live the motto- 'enjoy the little things in life.' Thank you!
So, for this weeks PTI challenge I thought I would "send some sunshine your way." This is a new technique for me and I really enjoyed playing around with my impression plates (Diamonds Impression Plate) and dies (Mat Stack #2). I am in love with these little Tag It sets from PTI, this one is Tag its #3. I stamped it inside of Mat Stack #2 and the die is from Beautiful Blooms II #3. I hope you enjoy this card and the cherry colors.
Other Supplies not listed above: Bitty Dots PP- PTI, Scallop edge punch SU, and Baker's Twine from MFT, Black Rhinestones - PTI. Colors-Raspberry Fizz, New Leaf, Harvest Gold.
