Clean and Simple Card Class 2- Day 1

I LOVE this layout and I will so copy it again! Thank you Kristina! In the last class, Jennifer McGuire taught me to put my new goodies in a side box for when I need inspiration, so I did. Thank you Jennifer love that idea! I used a new background from Impression Obsession, stamped in versa mark and embossed with clear EP. The sentiment is from Hero Arts-Fancy Basics.  I did take all of Kristina's advice, and I used a pencil to draw out the circle and I also added a straight line (with my T-ruler) to make sure the sentiment was straight.  Finally, the ribbon is from SU Sale-A-Bration ribbon bundle.
Very Simple! I hope you like it.....

Make it Monday #101

Oh man, after the January Blog Hop I am addicted to my colored embossing powder, and can't wait to add to my collection. For my card, I stamped and embossed the Medallion Bkg in white first and then added the green embossing detail second. I used PTI new Think Big Favorite #24 (can't believe we are up to 24 already) with the Half & Half die. I love green and pink!!!! Have a good night, we are iced in here in Iowa.

January 2013 Blog Hop

Wow was this fun! I had no idea how striking colored embossing powder can look on black card stock. I LOVE embossing but usually with clear or white embossing powder but now I am hooked and I see a new addiction in my future. Have a great weekend!

Supplies: Harvest Berries, Photo Finisher dies and stamp set, White and Wild Wasabi EP from Stampin Up, Versa Mark Ink.

Make it Monday #99 - Card #2

I used the same rainbow color scheme - #6

I used Background Basics Dots and Spots from PTI, Wonderful Words die PTI, and the Birthday is from the new Embroidered Blooms. Hope you like it!

Make It Monday #99

Wow! Time really flies! I can't believe I have been away from my blog for so long. I really didn't mean to be gone for so long! Life has been super crazy- a couple of trips, Christmas, helping my mom after surgery, etc. I am sure you can relate! And, I hope you all had a GREAT holiday!

Enough of that and on to this weeks Make it Monday. I have two cards to share. This first one is based on Nicole's Birthday card from Saturday
I used the Rainbow Color Scheme #6. I used the PTI grid paper, I flipped the paper over so I didn't have to see the lines on my finished card. I then put the paper on my light box and stamped. I hope you like it!

Supplies: Guide Lines Two, Embroidered Blooms, Inks, #6 color Scheme, rhinestones.

CFC67: Create a Clean And Simple project that features banners or flags

Oh WOW! This was fun! I made a similar card to this last weekend for a Papertrey Inc challenge.
And Joyce left a comment for me saying I needed to share it on the CAS-ual Friday's site. I had never heard of it. So, I thought I wanted to re-make my card using what ever I wanted. Many of the challenges I do are for blogs hosted by specific companies and I try to use their products. But for this challenge, I can use what ever I want from any company I want. SO FUN! I love the colors in this card and I can't wait to try more challenges from CAS-ual Fridays.  Thank you Joyce!

Supplies (from all kinds of companies ;-) MME pattern paper, Sentiment from Technique Tuesdays, Bkg from Hero Arts, CS and Ink from Papertrey. Banner die from Papertrey Inc.

Make It Monday #80: Making Garland & CFC67

I watched Ashley's video
http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2012/08/make-it-monday-80-1.html
first thing Monday morning and right away I had the idea to use letters on my banner but wasn't sure just how. Then at 2:30am today, when I trying to sleep. Trying! This came to me. I did use Ashley's advice and sandwiched the letters on my floss. Let me explain if you haven't watched the video yet. She said to cut all your letters twice and 'sandwich' your floss (or whatever you are using) between the two layers. I used white cardstock as my backing to the polka dot letters but before I cut them, I covered the white cardstock with 1 inch score tape which made the 'sandwich' so easy to assemble.  I hope you like my card and have a great week!

Supplies are all PTI: Mat Stack dies 5 & 4, Polka Dot Impression Plate, Think Big Favorites (Birthday), Block Alphabet Die, Bracket is from Half & Half Stamp set, floss,  Hawaiian Shores Ink and CS, Simply Chartreuse Ink, 1 inch score tape.

Teeny Card Fun
