Make It Monday #74: Stamping on Texture

I have never tried this technique before. I am always up for trying something new.  Here is the link:
My brother and his wife are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this weekend so I used this technique to make a card for them. I made the background with the Text Style bkg and the Giga Guide Lines 1 Impressions plate. The sentiment is from 2 different stamp sets- Congrats all the way and Celebrations. The sentiment was inspired by day 5 of the Stretch your stamps online class, and so was the layout. I LOVE online card classes!!! I down load them and watch them when I am on the treadmill -great motivation ;-)

Supplies all PTI unless noted: stamp sets- Congrats all the Way, Celebrations, Text Style bkg, Giga Guide Lines 1 IP, SU taffeta ivory ribbon, Pattern Paper unknown, corner chomper, SU pearls, Kraft and Chocolate Ink.

Make It Monday #73: Stamping on Patterned Paper

This is the first time I put ink on this set. I love it! The sentiments in it are so very cute! The challenge was to stamp directly on pattern paper and I think it goes perfect with the Hello Sunshine set. We are ROASTING right now in the Midwest and I would love to send it some where else ;-) The heat index is 105 today, down from the 110 we had yesterday.

June 2012 Blog Hop

I am having tons of Internet problems tonight so I will have to come back tomorrow with my supplies list. Sorry! I love the colors in this challenge. I don't have New Leaf so I used Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Lemon Tart and Gray(?). The flower is the saddle stitched ribbon pulled into a flower. And the same thing for the ruffle, I just pulled the white stitch on the ribbon to make a ruffle. I hope you like it!

Good Morning! Wow thanks for the nice comments already! Supplies: Label Basics stamp and dies, Everyday Classics stamp, Lemon Tart saddle stitched ribbon, rhinestones, pop dots, & CS colors listed above.

And here is the link to Nicole it you haven't seen it http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2012/06/june-2012-blog-hop.html

Teacher Appreciation Week

This week is teacher appreciation week and yesterday we brought these into the school for my twins teachers.
I found the watering cans at Target's Dollar spot ($2.50 each). The teachers loved them!  Oh, and I used a #2 pencil to stick the note card in the pots. The card says, "It is not so much what is poured into a student, but what is planted by the Teacher that really counts."

Supplies: PTI Teachers Apple stamp set and baker's twine.

Make It Monday #64: Using Color Inspiration (2nd)

I had another idea in my head and I like this one the best. I followed Nicole's rule of 3 all the way with this one. Again, I don't have Fine Linen so I used Kraft instead. I wanted the banner to look like it was tied between the two trees, hopefully it looks that way to you ;-) Love that little bird!

All Supplies PTI unless noted: All CS and Ink from above + Kraft, Trendy Trees Stamp and Dies, Chocolate Twine and Ink, PP also PTI, Die from Taylored Expressions.

Make It Monday #64: Using Color Inspiration

I finally broke into my Trendy Trees from PTI today to try my hand at the Make It Monday Color challenge. I don't have Fine Linen so I substituted chocolate. I did follow Nicole's rule of three (except with the Chocolate) and I think the best part of that rule is that it pushes me to add more spice to my creations. It is hard to see but in the background I added flowers with versa mark to my color blocked background. I like how simple this card is but I like my second post best.

Supplies: All PTI unless noted, ink and CS from the above list plus chocolate, Versa Mark, Beautiful Blooms II, Trendy Trees, Tri flower punch from Stampin Up, Think Big Favorite, rhinestones.

Teeny Card Fun

I hope you joined me this week for the Taylored Expressions Facebook Live, if not here is the link  https://www.facebook.com/tayloredexpres...
