February 2013 Blog Hop

I used the new Cutting Garden stamp and embossed it in a couple different embossing powders. I think I have fallen in love with this new Limeade Ice from PTI. It is all over the place in home decor right now. I saw this color combo on a bedspread at Target.  I like the second one best, I made it with PTI Limeade Ice and SU Island Indigo (my other color obsession).

Supplies all PTI unless noted: Borders and Corners-Circle, Cutting Garden, Monogram from Close to My Heart (very old), PTI Scallop border, CS- Hawaiian Shores (1st card), Pacific Point (2nd card) Black, Limeade Ice. Versa Mark, SU white embossing powder and SU pearl embossing powder (1st card), unknown circle punches 1 1/4 & 1 3/8. Corner Chomper.

PTI- Color Inspiration #2

As I said in my last post, I used color inspiration #6 and a sketch from yesterday. The sentiment is from Think Big Favorites and I can't wait for the new Wonderful Words series. I love big bold sayings & I love dies so what could be better??!!! YA PTI!!!

PTI- Color Inspiration #1

I made a card from the color inspiration no. 6 and I also used a sketch from yesterday. I was sad that couldn't take part in yesterday's challenge. I made another card with the same basic idea but I think I like this one the best. Have a great night!

Year of Flowers

I am super excited about Papertrey's announcement today about the new dies. YA! I wanted to try a very simple card from the Clean & Simple 2 Class. I colored the flowers in with a Versa Marker to give them a slightly darker tint. Super simple! The flowers are embossed in white EP and the stamp sets are from PTI-mums & Signature Greetings.

I have to say, this card really looks better in real life. I don't know why I couldn't get a better photo but I was so happy with the card, I mailed it off today. I did the technique Kristina taught with the the salt and Distress markers. Love it! You gotta try it,  it is worth the mess ;-)  This is one of my favorite sayings for sympathy cards (if you can say that) and I have always wanted a star background that would work with it. Hope you like it!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary

Today I am sharing a card I made for PTI's Anniversary countdown. I really love how it turned out and I plan to make 5 more for the guy birthday's I have coming up. I have one more card to share tonight.
